mass effect kal'reegar plush, chibi style!

oh, squad leader kal'reegar. i heart you so much. <3

the first time i played mass effect 2 my husband was sitting next to me during the haestrom mission, smacking my arm and going, "do you know whose voice that is?? DO YOU??" (i'm a big jayne cobb fan.)

it didn't take long for me to love kal'reegar, and he's still one of my favorite NPC's. i wish we could've seen him a bit in mass effect 3 (killed off in an E-MAIL? UGHHH. and NO kind of reaction from tali? DOUBLE UGHHH.) as soon as i made the tali plush, i knew i'd eventually have to make kal. in my mind, he and tali live happily ever after on rannoch in their home with a spectacular view. <3

he was made with a jersey knit type material, something i've never hand sewn with before and it was difficult to work with. i had to take some liberties in the pattern of his fabric and with the gardbrace covering his shoulder (i put it on but it looked silly for some reason, so off it went.) while tali has 2 layers of purple covering her face, kal'reegar has an additional layer of blue beneath the sheer purple to differentiate.

also! i put it in my last journal entry, but i never remember to mention it in the description: kal'reegar here is about 16 inches tall.
